While it isn’t the most exciting news to come out of Universal of late, the soft drinks deal with Coca Cola will probably affect more people than any other news story for the next decade!
We guzzle millions of gallons of the Corporate Giant’s drinks each year, with the USA consumer taking on board 394 x 8oz servings per person during 2010 according to the coca cola stats.
According to the Orlando Sentinel today, Universal will keep the soda giant on board, thanks to a huge deal that covers Orlando and Hollywood theme parks in the USA.
As the market for fresh juices develops, the deal also embraces the Minute Maid brand as part of the agreement for the combined 20+ million park guests a year.
With some big new areas currently under development in the parks such as the intensely anticipated Diagon Alley and Springfield areas, we look set to consume at least one or more of the Coke/Dasani/Minute Maid brands next vacation!
